I would say the historic heart of the city. It's near to where people work and the effects of puerto madero are spilling over to san telmo and the lower parts of congreso and monserrat. Recoleta is undoubtedly the nicest place to live - but not cheap even by European standards.
good luck
PS I have bought in san telmo and on avenida de mayo (bottom end over-looking casa rosada if I stand on one leg on the balcony!)Anonymous 21 Jul 2006, 08:27 - Report
