- The Internet – There are literally thousands of sites dedicated to property in South Africa. These can be found by typing in ‘South African property’ or, for example, ‘Cape Town property’ in a search engine such as Google (www.google.com ), Yahoo (www.yahoo.com ) or Bing (www.bing.com ). Most sites belong to or are linked to an estate agent or agents.
- Property Tours – Tours are organised by some agents, usually concentrating on a particular area in South Africa over several days, during which you get a good idea of what’s available and an insight into local life. Some tours include visits to tourist attractions as well as the chance to sample local food and drink.

Visiting An Area – Some property owners in South Africa sell privately to avoid paying an agent’s commission and put ‘For Sale’ signs outside the property.
